That’s roughly the approach Unity takes and assuming there are no bugs at the time, and the frame rate is blowing in the right direction (which is a fairly big assumption), it does look extremely impressive. The normal approach for the first next gen entry in an ongoing franchise is usually to make pretty much the same game but with better graphics, and then hopefully do something more interesting the next time. But these issues shouldn’t overshadow what is Unity’s most significant problem: it isn’t a very good video game.
